Personalized tours led by Gabriel, founder of Rain Forest Experiences CR. Experience wildlife, waterfalls, volcanoes, and the breathtaking beauty of Costa Rica.

Choose from our carefully crafted tours, each designed to give you an authentic and personal connection with Costa Rica's incredible nature.

Discover the magnificent nocturnal world of the rainforest. Through a gentle 1.5-hour walk, observe wildlife such as frogs, including the famous red-eyed tree frog, nocturnal and diurnal birds, insects that camouflage with the environment in impressive ways, and much more — an experience to live.

Through a guided safari in the rainforest, you can enjoy these beautiful and interesting mammals in their natural habitat, as well as observe other animals such as monkeys, toucans, frogs, and more.

With more than 250 hectares of forest, the hanging bridges reserve is the perfect place to learn from a naturalist guide about the natural history of this ecosystem. Walk at canopy level across 6 hanging bridges and observe animals such as monkeys, birds, snakes, and much more.

Arenal Volcano is the youngest volcano in Costa Rica. Through a 2-hour hike on the 1968 lava flow, you'll learn about the eruptive history of this important Costa Rican massif, while enjoying magnificent views of the perfectly conical volcano, Lake Arenal, and surrounding areas.

Costa Rica is known for its great biodiversity, and with more than 900 bird species, it's paradise for bird lovers. On a walk through the foothills of Arenal Volcano in a private reserve, you can observe a great number of birds including toucans, tanagers, warblers, trogons, motmots, and many more colorful species.

Local legend says that when God painted the sky, he washed his brushes in the Celeste River. Through a 6km hike in a rainforest you can enjoy one of the wonders of Costa Rica — the magical place where the water changes its colors.

In this guided excursion you can discover the 3 main attractions of the Fortuna area: the 1968 Lava Flow hike, La Fortuna Waterfall, and the Hanging Bridges — all in one unforgettable day with a traditional Costa Rican lunch included.

Costa Rica is a country incredibly rich in biodiversity, but also in culture. In this activity you'll discover the roots of our farmers by visiting a Costa Rican family — be a farmer for a day, milk a cow, extract sugar cane juice, and enjoy a traditional lunch.
Every tour includes these essentials so you can focus on enjoying the experience — no hidden fees, no surprises.
Complimentary pick-up and drop-off from your hotel in the La Fortuna area. Sit back, relax, and let us handle the logistics.
Fresh tropical fruits, water, and light snacks are included on every tour to keep you energized throughout your adventure.
High-powered spotting scopes and binoculars provided so you can get incredible close-up views of wildlife and birds.
We keep our groups small to ensure a personalized, intimate experience where every guest gets the attention they deserve.

Nestled at the base of the majestic Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna is a small town with enormous natural beauty. Surrounded by tropical rainforest, waterfalls, rivers, and volcanic hot springs, it is one of Costa Rica's most spectacular destinations and a true paradise for nature lovers and adventurers.
One of the most active volcanoes in the world, towering at 1,670 meters with breathtaking views and rich biodiversity on its slopes.
Heated by volcanic activity, the thermal waters create natural hot springs throughout the region, perfect for relaxation after a day of adventure.
Dense, lush rainforest covering over 500,000 hectares with some of the highest biodiversity on Earth — home to 5% of the world's species.
Spot sloths, toucans, monkeys, poison dart frogs, quetzals, and hundreds of other species in their pristine natural habitat.

We had a great time with Josue. It's been our highlight of our trip thus far. We were able to see a Tucan, tarantula, unique hummingbird, spider monkies. The history and learning experience added to the experience. 10/10

The experience was truly magical from start to finish. We began the hike surrounded by thick clouds, which made us disappointed, but just as we reached the end of the lava trail, the skies cleared to reveal a breathtaking, picture-perfect view of the volcano — it felt incredibly rewarding and almost cinematic. Our guide was outstanding, sharing deep knowledge of Arenal's history and geology in a way that was engaging and easy to follow.

What an amazing experience! We were kind of worried that it would be too much of a walk and a climb but it was just perfect. We never felt like if we were in a rush. Daniela took all the time to answer every single question we had and she was extremely knowledgable and funny. We very much appreciated this excursion as it's a fantastic site and we strongly recommend it.

This was a fascinating hike through volcanic territory filled with interesting facts from Gabriel and a few animal spottings. Gabriel made the trip very interesting, thrilling at times, and a great introduction to the Arenal area. Gabriel himself was a stellar guide who I would hire again and again.

This experience was exactly what we were looking for. Our guide met us at the entrance and provided us so much useful information about what we were seeing. We hadn't yet seen a sloth on our trip and let the guide know. Within the first few minutes, she spotted one and got out the scope for us to take a look. Mission accomplished!
